Finally managed to put the new yarns in the shop. This is Attack Of The Pink, an ode to the last week of 2011, and the first week of 2012. LOL

And this is the last one which I’m calling Pretty In Pink although I really don’t know how I feel about it. Part of me wants to dye it over with some other color to see what I come up with. I put it up in the shop for now, but if no one is interested in it I will end up over-dyeing it with something else.

Here’s one of the dye jobs from last night, aptly named Jewelry Sheller. This is on Alpaca/Silk fingering weight yarn. This is a special colorway which is inspired by a really beautiful bracelet that Emily (TheJewelrySheller) made, which I very happily purchased. Emily is a really lovely person and a great fellow crafter. This colorway is an ode to her kick-ass-ness. <3

I just bought this lovely lovely bracelet from TheJewelrySheller. I love these colors. I love them so much that I’m going to make yarn based on them this weekend. :) Keep a look out and check out Emily’s shop!

I have the best friends on here. Really.

This one of a kind bracelet just sold to Michelle from daintyloops. I will take the time now to say that she has just started an adventure into making hand-painted yarns. For the knitters out there, I seriously suggest you check her out. :D

Thank you to everyone who pitched in a name suggestion for this yarn, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I decided to go with Midnight Ballet which was suggested by the lovely chimericalme8d(THANK YOU!)

I can’t tell you guys how much I appreciate all the feedback. Doing something new is exciting and scary all at the same time. I’m having a lot of fun with these dyes (except when things go terribly wrong and I want to cry into my pillow, lol) and the feedback helps to guide and encourage me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So here are some more photos. You guys like the name?

Here is a shot of last nights dye work. Don’t have a name for it and still need to take better photos so I can put it up in the shop. This is 100% cashmere, lace weight yarn.

I don’t have a name yet. I really REALLY like this intense color. I will need to start experimenting with the “other” colors I have, but this pink is just so lovely.

What do you guys think? Name suggestions? What would you make with this yarn?

Here is the yarn I was working on last night. I wanted to get at least two different colorways done but I got hit with a migraine in the middle of the day and that slowed me down a lot :\

This is my first official use of the professional chemical dyes. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I’m in love with these dyes. It’s a lot more work to use them as you need to take more precautions because they’re real chemicals. Had to buy everything, including a microwave to use only for dyeing. I’m pretty happy with this Electric Berry color way, which I just put up in the shop if anyone is interested in it :)  It’s a little loud, but I think its balanced and would make a nice pair of socks.

What do you guys think??? Do you like the colorway? Do you like the name?
