Ok so I finally sat down to try out this embroidery thing. It’s a lot messier than I had hoped for and the back looks like a hot mess, but I think it’s ok for my very first try. I glued the edges down because I couldn’t think of a better way of making it neat…No idea if that’s actually what you’re supposed to do, lol.
A couple things I learned:
(01) I think I need to use thicker fabric cuz it seems too thin and transparent.
(02) I have no idea if I’m using the right needle or thread. I just grabbed thread I thought was pretty, didn’t split the thread, and just grabbed the first needle out of my needle holder thingy. I’m guessing this makes a difference…I need to read up more on this.
(03) French knots are easy as pie.
I used an outline from WildOlive that she has up for free.
What do you guys think?
