Taking a break from job application to get some air. Brooklyn bridge park: one of the best places in nyc.
I’ve spent the last three days glued to my laptop researching and submitting job applications. But I’ve just finished sending the most awesome application ever. Long story short, part of the application involved creating a haiku, playing with magnetic words, and doodling. And so ends today’s effort in finding a great company to spend my days with.
On a totally off subject though, I live in a super super SUPER hasidic jew neighborhood which is typically super calm and quiet…but there’s something going on tonight. Not sure if it’s a wedding, or a funeral, but there’s some intensely cool music coming from the streets. Who says nothing happens in this neighborhood?! Going to head out to explore whats going on, and then head to the city to walk around and get some air.
I miss the crafty world soooooooo much! How’s everyone’s week shaping up?
Have any of you used the acrylic yarn from Knit Picks? If so, what are your thoughts on it? How does it feel? Can you compare it to another brand of acrylic yarn?
I decided to join MeetUp.com and see if I could meet up with some fellow crafters here in NYC and try to make some friends. The first meet up is this Tuesday and I’m super excited and also terrified because I’m actually super shy…BUT new city means new friends. So time to get my big girl panties on, take a couple shots of tequila, and play with some yarn & strangers.
Has anyone else ever gone to a MeetUp? What was your experience?
